NECRONOMICON NOTES    Since last month, we have heard from several more of our buddies who want to help on our program this year. Here's the updated guest list for you.
   The guests of honor will be Kevin J. Anderson, Rebecca Moesta, and Joseph Green. Other guests will include, Charles Fontenay, Don Callander, Scott Ciencin, Matthew DiPalma, Barbara and Ben Bova, Craig MacDougal, Steve Antczak, Owl Goingback, Jeanette Spencer, Vince Courtney, Kendall F. Morris, Mitch Hyman, Jack Haldeman, Barbara Delaplace, Richard Lee Byers, James Bassett, Ingrid Neilson, Sarah Clemens, Rembert Parker, Beverly Parker and Cat Mitchell (who will be running a belly dancing workshop), and Gerry Duran, the maestro who will present a fencing demonstration.

ConGames '97    The weekend of June 28 and 29 is ConGames weekend. If you are a gamer, this is the convention for you. There is no advance registration for this one. There will be a post card mailing for ConGames but if you have questions that are not answered by the card or somehow your name was missed on the mailing list, you can send e-mail to: gaming@stonehill.org or call 813/903-0390.

OASIS WEEKEND    OASIS 10 will be held at the Harley Hotel, next to Lake Eola in downtown Orlando, the weekend of May 16-18. The guests of honor will be editor of "Analog", Stanley Schmidt, artist Ron Walotsky, and author Joe Haldeman. Others who will be on panels will be Richard Lee Byers, Ingrid Neilson, Joseph Green, Ben Bova, Gary Roen, Jeff Cisneros, Mary Hanson-Roberts, and Rick Wilber. The cost of membership is $25 for the weekend. One day rates will be available but have not been announced. A NEW FACE AT LOVERS LANE
You know there's a big gang of us at the Lovers Lane house. Our number went down when Kendall the younger and Micky moved out and started a home of their own. We were down to six but now we are seven. On April 30 at 1:06 a.m. Terri and Mark Jones' son Alexander Kenneth Jones made his debut in this funny old world. Alex weighed in at seven pounds, five ounces and was 20 inches long. WELCOME TO LIFE AND STONE HILL, ALEX!

JUNE 8 STONE HILL MEETING    June's meeting will be held at Chez Bennett', 12215 Spottswood Drive, Riverview, FL, ph: 812/671-2859. As is the case with all meetings held at the Spottswood address, this will be a blood drive meeting. In the summer months we often find prospective donors are turned down for having high temperatures and high blood pressure, even though these are not constant conditions for these people. What happens is that they get overheated from running around on the hot summer day and temporarily raise their body temperature or blood pressure or both. It's a good idea to relax some and have a cool beverage before offering to donate blood. You'll feel better for it and will be more likely to be accepted as a donor.
