NOTES FROM ANNIE'S ATTIC
I owe an apology to William Mize who administers the Tampa Bay Fandom Page. I told him months ago that I'd put word about his web site in SHLT and I have forgotten to do that ever since. It would be a shame if you were not informed about this page. It's quite comprehensive. It's got links to media fan groups, SF groups, convention news, Society for Creative Anachronisms folks, and more. Even though I have been remiss in my duty, Will has kept a link to the Stone Hill site all along. So, do me and yourself a favor and visit Will's site and tell him you found the news here. The URL is: http://members.com/tbayfandom
Although I have not been surfing the net quite as much as I did in January and February, I have been online a lot. Much of the time has been spent on my fencing pages on TRIPOD. If you want to get on the web and put your words and/or pictures out there for all the other surfin' dudes and dudettes to see, TRIPOD is a great place to do that. You get 5 megs of free homepage space and they have "Quick Page Builder" which allows you to create a web page without knowing a smidgen of HTML. They also have a format for those who are HTML knowledgeable. I like to use the "Quick Page Builder" and then edit with some of my own HTML. That gives you the best of both worlds. The TRIPOD site is at: http://tripod.com
If you'd like to see some of what I've got there now, check out these addresses.

These are my fencing pages. The first is the online magazine for Tampa's Fencing Academy and the second is my Fencer Girl's Fencing Fun Pages.
Stone Hill member David Bennett is always sending me cool web sites to peruse and share with you. He must spend as much time online as I do, if not more. Anyway, for a fun time, check out the Cows With Guns site to read the wisdom of Cow Tse Tung at www.cowswithguns.com/homepage.html and the ClichÈ Finder at www.westegg.com/clichÈ/

STONE HILL BIRTHDAYS
Our Stone Hill friends who have birthdays this month are:

Many happy returns of the day to you all!

VIDCON & CONGAMES
We are still looking for a few helpers for ConGames. We need registration staff, some game masters, and general gopher help on July 25-26. Please contact Dean or Heather Dryer to volunteer. You can reach them via the Stone Hill mail box at P.O. Box 2076, Riverview, FL 33568 or by e-mail at: kasumi.tendo@worldnet.att.net
VIDCON has staff but is open to suggestions for program ideas. We have a fencing demonstration planned and a play but are looking for media topics for panels and people whoíd like to be on media fan panels. For more information or to submit suggestions, e-mail Debra Hicks at: 74367.312@compuserve.com or send her snail mail care of the Stone Hill P.O. Box.

MORRIS' MINI REVIEW
If you are looking for a good book to read, I suggest THE MOON AND THE SUN by Vonda McIntyre. This book is a blend of history, fantasy, science fiction, and romance. What more could you ask for? It's a gentle and intriguing book about characters you can really care for. It takes place in France, during the late part of Louis XVI's reign. One of the things I liked about the book is that it dealt with the true nature of beauty. What might seem to be unlikely people are the romantic and heroic leads in this tale because they have beautiful spirits.

MAY STONE HILL MEETING
The meeting in on May 10 will be held at Marna, Ian and Jack Faber's home at 8200 Hornwood Place, Tampa. The phone there in case you need to call for directions is: 813/880-9640.

TILL NEXT TIME, TAKE CARE AND HAVE FUN!
